Breakfast at 8 o’clock.
Leaving the B&B on foot, take St-Joseph street, go east to Marché du Vieux-Port. There you will find multiple farm products.
Next, keep on going to the same direction and take St-Paul street to go to des Antiquaires street. Several cafés and restaurrants are along your way if you wish to take a break.
Then, stroll down the streets of the Vieux-Port de Québec, that will lead you to Place Royale. There you will find again several souvenir shops, cosy restaurants, as well as the Place Royale Interpretation Centre.
Afterwards, hop on the Quebec-Levis ferry to enjoy a round trip ride where you will get the chance to take magnificent pictures.
Your day will end with a visit at the Musée de la Civilisation.
Go back to the B&B before dinner to freshen up and get ready to enjoy the Happy Hours at « the Boudoir » situated on our street and very popular in Quebec. The Boudoir offers various menus as well as a disco every weekend.ne discothèque les week-end.
Day 2
Breakfast at 8 o’clock. Walk south to Parvis street until you arrive to the St-Roch’s garden, cross St-Vallier Street. There, take the stairs or the elevator to climb up the cape.
In the same direction, walk as far as St-Jean Street and turn East. On St-Jean Street, you will find several boutiques and restaurants on the way.
St-Jean’s door is the main entrance for the old fortified city. Not too far from there, is the heritage site which is called « Artillery Park ».
If you keep on walking east, you will come accross « Du Trésor » street where several artists and painters exhibit their work of art. Across from Du Trésor street, stands the magnificent Château Frontenac.
Near the Château Frontenac, is the Musée du Fort, which houses a perfect replica of the Plaines of Abraham battle.
We also suggest that you walk west along St-Louis street and stop for a visit at Royal 22nd Regiment Museum situated at the Quebec Citadelle.
After crossing St-Louis’s door, you will arrive at the Plaines of Abraham, one of the most beautiful urbain parks in America.
To your right, admire the Tourny Fountain which is in front of the Quebec Parliament recently donated to the City’s inhabitants by the Simons family. In front of the fountain, across from Grande-Allée, you will notice the Parliament building home of the Quebec National Assembly.Further to the west, St-Louis’ Street becomes Grande-Allée, well known for its restaurants and bars.
Day 3
You would like to ride on a bike ? Why not rent one at Location Vélo Fournel Bicycles at 46 St-Vallier Street (418) 522-1760. A bicycle path starts in Quebec Old Port and will lead you to the Montmorency Falls Park.
Then explore « Nouvelle France » road or chemin Royal. Your final destination will be Ste-Anne–de-Beaupré and its renowned Basilica.
Along your journey, you will have the opportunity to see wonderful ancestral homes, souvenirs of the past.
Day 4
You would like to see the whales or sail on the St-Lawrence river ? Croisières AML offers different boat excursions. A shuttle is also available from our B&B or at the Hôtel Pure on « de la Couronne » street.
Romantic path
Go south on du Parvis street, walk through St-Roch’s garden, climb up the stairs or take the elevator. Make a right on St-Jean’s street until you reach Cartier’s street. There you will find some of the most popular bars and restaurants in Quebec.
At the end of Cartier’s street, you will find Grande-Allée street, turn right until Wolf-Montcalm Avenue. You will be at the beginning of the Plaines of Abraham and Quebec National Musée des Beaux Arts, a major attraction you do not want to miss.
To fully enjoy your journey, we strongly suggest that you bring a back pack available at our B&B which includes wine, water, bread, cheeses, luncheon meats, fruits and a small blanket. Find a quiet spot on the Plaines of Abraham to enjoy your picnic in a most enchanting environment.
